Although he was the one who had originally denied Tomoe of her happiness, she also discovered a new type of happiness with him. ^_^

Their Life Together...
As winter approaches, the year comes to an end. During these last five months, Kenshin had been living peacefully with Tomoe, at the countryside which was not touched with the wrath of war that is engulfing Kyoto.
Living a simple life as a medicine seller, these last couple of months have changed Kenshin tremendously as the rage of the hitokiri had been suppressed with a blanket of serenity.
Disciplined by the ideals of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, Kenshin fights and even kills to help form a new era that will realise people's happiness. But the truth is, he had never known nor experienced what happiness was. He smiles as he tells a blushing Tomoe that whatever he had fought for in the past, and what he will continue to fight for now...living with her in the countryside for the last five months has clearly showed him what happiness truly was. ^_^
